I'm guessing those statements only apply when the Flashrom instance is being run from an OS that is in turn running on the X201 concerned. Is my guess correct, or do your statements also apply when Flashrom is being run, instead, from another PC, and is accessing the flash chip via a SOIC clip and a programmer (e.g. Bus Pirate or BeagleBone Black, etc)? Coreboot wiki content license
Hi, I hope to make some additions to the X201 page, to which I see you have already contributed. I would be grateful if you would be willing to license your contributions to the Coreboot wiki under CC BY-SA 3.0, as I have done, so that the X201 page, at least, will be on its way to becoming CC BY-SA 3.0. For a discussion about the present lack of a content license for the Coreboot wiki, please see this mailing list thread. Thanks! SamPabloKuper (talk) 13:09, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
X201: readability of flash parts
In this edit, you stated, "Descriptor and bootblock are read-only. ME firmware is not readable."
Thanks. SamPabloKuper (talk) 18:12, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
