Why did you guys remove my CPU list? - Taiidan


Then it was added it back with some super low end cpus (6204, 6272) that nobody will be happy with - if someone can spend $415 on a motherboard then an extra $100 on a quality cpu that has decent single thread performance is worth it.
I don't know anyone with a non SE CPU (or 6328) that is satisfied with their performance level and that turns them away from coreboot.


If someone wants a list of *compatible* cpu's they can simply use their favorite search engine - the idea of a recommended CPU's list is that if someone gets one they will be satisfied for their use case.
The idea of this is for a recommended CPU's list, not simply a list of compatible CPU's which one can easily obtain with their favorite search engine.


I know people who aren't happy with their 6276's (the average popular g34 cpu), so that is why I made this list.
It is difficult to find a list of "good" G34/C32 CPU's, and a 6272 is the furthest one can be from that category.

Freedom isn't free - if one can afford a $415 motherboard they can also afford to purchase a CPU that costs more than the G34 heat-sink and fan assembly required to cool a 95W processor.

Recommended CPU's
